I am happy to share with you a very interesting resource created by the Justice Promoters Team of the Sisters of the Presentation, Dubuque, Iowa. It is entitled ‘A Living Lent that Changes the World.’ It presents a schedule for Learning, Acting, Praying, Sharing, Planning, Giving and Advocating each week of the Advent season taking a justice issue from the Sustainable Development Goals – Starting with Goal 8.
Thanks Winifred.
A great resource.

Thanks Caroline … I love it too … the integrated and practical nature of the material about real life …. The Presentation Sisters are surely creative and practical! Today is about volunteering (giving) at center for immigrants … I cannot do it but Cecilie and I are working specially hard on an advocacy paper for the migration compact being negotiated over the next two years. Take care
Many thanks, Winifred. Elaine
Thanks Elaine! Remembering you moderating a Working Group on Girls parallel event at CSW – many years ago! Thanks you again!
Thanks to the innovation of human brains, am so much interested in 11march on passing strong laws to strongly penalise perpetrators of human trafficking and domestic abuse. My greatest dilemma is in developing countries such as kenya where the blame goes to naive persons! Perhaps the lent prayers are made to create harmonious safe living and operating environment.
Thanks Donatus … not just in developing countries but it all countries the blame goes to the ‘naive persons.’ Education for girls and women’s empowerment is the answer!
